Team SD Worx-Protime completed a successful Vuelta Femenina with Anna van der Breggen finishing third in the final stage. She set the pace throughout the final climb and only had to let go winner Demi Vollering and Marlen Reusser in the last kilometre. This put the former world and Olympic champion third in the overall classification of her first major tour since her return. She also wins the super combativity of the Vuelta Femenina. ‘We had signed up for this in advance,’ said a satisfied sports director Christian Kos.

Sports director Christian Kos: "This was a successful Vuelta Femenina for us. With the exception of one stage, we made the podium every day. We also took two stage wins as well as achieving the final podium. We didn't really know what to expect going into the Vuelta and the final podium seemed optimistic. So this is a very nice result, promising for what is still to come."

"When you realise what Anna has performed this week, it's really very amazing. A stage win, the super combativity award and the podium. It was the first time in 3.5 years that she has ridden up a mountain in a race. So this is a great result. Furthermore, the team was there to support her as much as possible. We saw beautiful teamwork. We battled on several fronts. So we look back on this Vuelta Femenina with a satisfied feeling."
